Priority Health partners with Carrot Fertility to offer reproductive health, family-building and hormonal health support

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — September 23, 2024) Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving more than 1.3 million members, and Carrot Fertility, a leading fertility and family-building platform, have announced a new partnership to offer two new solutions for Michigan employers whose employees seek reproductive health care and support.

The new solutions will support members across various fertility, family-building and hormonal health journeys – from maternity through menopause and pre-pregnancy through parenting. The solutions will include fertility treatment support and expert guidance and support for pregnancy, postpartum, gestational surrogacy, adoption, menopause and low testosterone.

"Fertility is a deeply personal and often challenging journey, and we want to support our members every step of the way," said Rick Abbott, senior vice president of employer solutions at Priority Health. "By partnering with Carrot, we are able to offer employers and their employees a whole-person and personalized approach that covers the full spectrum of reproductive health and family-building options."

The new solutions include two options for employers to choose from based on their needs and budget. Carrot Core offers access to the Carrot platform, educational resources and 24/7 access to expert support and guidance. Carrot Pro offers all the elements of Carrot Core, as well as enhanced fertility coverage, including financial support, across several journey types. Carrot considers each member’s medical history, personal goals and risk factors to create a personalized plan.

"We’re honored to partner with Priority Health and increase access to fertility, family-building and hormonal health support for people across Michigan," said Adam Johnson, chief strategy officer at Carrot Fertility. "Through this partnership, we will help more employers lower overall health care costs while driving healthy outcomes for their employees."

The solutions are available to fully funded and self-funded employer groups with a start date of January 1, 2025 for members.
