Check your costs and coverage

Your specific cost and coverage information can be found by logging in to your Priority Health member account and reviewing your plan documents. You should review this information to understand the medical services included in your health plan, and how we share the cost of your care.

The Coverage Check tool in your member account makes it easy to search for prescriptions, procedures, and providers covered by your plan.  It also shows you a cost estimate so you can compare prices.

The basics

Health insurance sometimes feels like it has its own language. Here are some of the most common terms you might see on your member ID card, explanation of benefits (EOB), and other plan documents.

Health terms glossary

The amount you pay for your health insurance.

The amount you pay each year before the health plan starts to pay for certain services. See your plan documents for details.

Also known as copay. The portion you pay at the time you receive a health care service. You may also have a copay when you get a prescription filled.

Depending on your plan, you may also pay coinsurance, or a percentage of the cost of medical services, even after your deductible is paid. For example, if your plan's fee for an office visit is $100 and your coinsurance payment is 20%, your payment would be $20. Priority Health would pay the other 80%.

The most a plan member will pay for covered services each year, including the deductible and coinsurance.
