Priority Health $10,000 donation to United Way of the Lakeshore benefits children and families across three counties

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — January 9, 2024) Every act of generosity counts. The Medicare team at Priority Health partnered with United Way of the Lakeshore for its annual Giving Tuesday campaign.

With Priority Health’s $10,000 match, the nonprofit raised a total of $58,662.46 to support those who live, work, learn and play across Muskegon, Newaygo and Oceana Counties.

“We are proud of our partnership with the Priority Health Medicare team and thankful for their support of our Giving Tuesday campaign,” said J.J. Lewis, chief development officer for United Way of the Lakeshore. “Thanks to this matching grant, we were able to raise over $50,000 that will be invested back into the Lakeshore to support our work in economic mobility, early childhood success, healthy families and youth success. Our goal is to raise $2.79 million through our 2023-24 community campaign and this pushes us closer to that goal and hope to uplift children and families across Muskegon, Newaygo and Oceana Counties.”

On December 12, Scott Norman, vice president of Medicare at Priority Health, presented the $10,000 check to the United Way of Lakeshore team.
 
“As the Medicare team at Priority Health thought of meaningful ways to support and give back to our community as annual enrollment season came to close, we identified United Way of Lakeshore as an organization we wanted to partner with as many Priority Health Medicare members are from the Lakeshore area,” said Norman. “We are grateful for those who donated and proud to have been able to match donations with the full $10,000 we pledged.”
