Priority Health executives named notable leaders in health care by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — October 28, 2024) Two Priority Health senior leaders at Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving more than 1.3 million members, have been named a “Notable Leader in Health Care” by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business. 

Carrie Kincaid, senior vice president of Market Development, and Rick Abbott, senior vice president of Employer Solutions, are being recognized for their contributions to the health care industry.

The Crain’s Grand Rapids Business notable leaders program recognizes best-in-class executives across a range of industries making a difference in their jobs and in their communities. 

Carrie Kincaid
Kincaid built the Priority Health market development division and is credited for the many innovations throughout its product suite. She is responsible for establishing and overseeing partnerships to support growth within target markets and leads evaluation of opportunities to expand inorganic growth and the feasibility of operating new lines of business. During the early stages of the pandemic, Kincaid expedited the development of a crucial new product to assist Priority Health. She and her team successfully developed the nation’s leading virtual-first product, enabling members to receive care from the safety of their homes while maintaining access to physicians during this critical period. 

Rick Abbott
Abbott oversees product innovation, wellness, underwriting, sales and client services, sales operations and marketing, and Priority Health’s alliance with Cigna. Since joining Priority Health in 2023, Abbott has led benefit options for small and large companies impacting thousands of employees across Michigan. His more than 15 years of experience in the industry formed him into an accomplished, transformative business executive with experience leading product strategy, account management and large-scale growth initiatives.
