Prior authorization is now required for IMRT services

Prior authorization is now required for Intensity Moderated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) services. There are six codes which require prior authorization in the new IMRT medical policy #91633.

Any IMRT service performed prior to yesterday, August 22 will not require prior authorization. If treatment occurs on or after August 22, providers will need to request authorization for the remaining treatments.
