How to submit home health claims beginning Jan. 1, 2020

On Jan. 1, 2020, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is changing its payment system for home health agencies for original Medicare.

How should home health agencies bill us beginning Jan. 1?

Home health agencies should submit their Medicare claims to us following CMS guidelines for the new Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM). Home health agencies should also continue to bill the appropriate charge lines that we currently use today to reimburse claims.
