Paying your premium
You have several options for paying your monthly premium and/or Enhanced dental and vision package premiums. You can also change the way you pay at any time.
Set up recurring payments
There are two ways to set up recurring payments - through your bank account or with your Social Security check.
Pay with my bank account
Schedule monthly Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments from your personal bank account. It's secure, easy and convenient.
Set up your EFT by logging in to your member account & and clicking Pay My Premium. There you'll find the electronic funds transfer enrollment form.
Important things to know:
- We will automatically debit the account you name on the form on the first day of the month.
- You will no longer get a bill in the mail.
- If your bank account does not have sufficient funds to cover your plan's premium payment, Priority Health reserves the right to charge a non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee up to the amount allowed by the state of Michigan, which is $25.
How to change your EFT information
Send us an EFT request form by the 25th day of the month. Automatic premium payments will start on the first of the upcoming month.
Cancel EFT payments
We need 30 days advance notice.

Pay with my Social Security Check
You can have your premium payment deducted straight from your monthly Social Security Administration (SSA) check.
Important things to know:
- The Social Security Administration will start deducting your premiums the first of the month after acceptance of your request.

Please include your payment coupon or write your subscriber ID on your check. - The first time SSA deducts from your Social Security check can be up to three months' premiums. This is based on the time it takes for them to process the request.
If for any reason your request is not accepted or is delayed longer than three months, Medicare will stop your request. Priority Health will notify you and bill you directly for your premiums.

Make sure you have your bank routing number and account number available.

We're sorry, we can't accept overnight payments/packages.
Please include payment coupons for all accounts when you are paying by check for more than one person's coverage.
Write the member ID and the amount you are paying for each on the check. If the amount you are paying is different than what is reflected on your coupon, please note this on the coupon.

What options are available to pay my premium?
You have multiple options to pay your premium: you may pay by

Can I make a one-time premium payment?
Yes, you can make a one-time premium payment. Please call 888.389.6648 (TTY 711) or follow the steps to process your payment online.
Can I pay my premiums in advance for the year?
Yes, you may pay your premiums for a year. However, you will continue to receive a monthly invoice which will reflect a credit balance until there is a balance showing due.
How can I update my banking information if I change banks?
Fill out a new EFT enrollment form. Your new banking information will be effective for the following month (if received before the 25th), overriding past banking information. When you set up a recurring payment, you will no longer get a bill in the mail each month. You can also call Customer Service to provide new banking information.
Informational only invoices are available upon request.
Can I set up automatic EFT payments to be effective for future months?
Yes, payments can be scheduled several months out. If you request an EFT beyond the following months, please contact Customer Service.
Can I make a payment for another member?
Yes, you can make a payment for another member by mail. Please include only one check per envelope with a corresponding invoice coupon to ensure your payment(s) is applied correctly. Or, call the Customer Service phone number on the back of your member ID card and a representative can assist you.
What day of the month will my EFT payment be drafted?
When you enroll, your payment will be drafted on the 1st of the month.
How can I cancel my EFT?

We must receive your request to cancel EFT 30 days prior to the scheduled draft date.
Can I set up payments through a third party payer (blll pay, bank, etc.)?
Yes, you can. Please remember that if your premium payments or contract number change you must update this information with your third party payer.
What if I don’t have enough funds in my account when my payment drafts?
If your bank account does not have sufficient funds to cover your plan’s premium payment, Priority Health reserves the right to charge a non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee up to the amount allowed by the state of Michigan, which is $25.
What happens if I miss a payment? Will my plan be terminated immediately?
We understand that things happen, so we do not end your coverage immediately. You have a grace period to make your payment.
- Medicare contracts: 90-day grace period
- Medigap contracts: 60-day grace period
